Our Dream, Our Desire

Finally.. i'm back.. albeit a tad delayed, i would say.

All of us have our dreams. Basically as BoonBag, we dream to play good music, make it as a great band. impacting lives around the world...

bob the bandmember:

i wish the band will go places. Get invites to perform at places of arts interests, events opening, colaborated efforts, regular appearance at a wholesome outdoor pub/cafe.

I hope that we can write songs that are different. Noise are different too, so let's make music :) music that can impact the people.

i hope that we can portray Christian bands as the up-and-coming bands in the world. Join the rise and show the world that our Jewish Carpenter boss is the Man!

I hope that i can contribute to the band. and play with the band till i'm an old foggie.. greying with groove.

i hope to improve my bass skills and fine tune my techniques.

the line above is drawn intentionally. Coz i wanna touch on a point that i feel is really important. Many of us dreams of achieving a lot in life. Same here. I too wanna to make it great in the media industry. then i was surfing the web for cool webbies. lo n behold.. awesome websites sprawled across the net. i'm not talking about microsoft.com design house. nope.. just some local designers who are slightly older than us, but producing works for Nokia, Ministry of education etc etc..

i was kinda devastated, felt that hey.. i'm doomed la.. my works are nowhere near theirs.. the only sponsership i have are from my parents n SAf.. other than that it's pretty much nuts thrown at me.

then i was kinda impacted. Felt God telling me that He gives us visions to set goals in our lives.. benchmarks for us to guide ourselves. He didnt give us these visions to stumble us. Could feel God telling me that we are not to only just focus on the long term goal, but also the short term achievements. "Lamp unto my feet, Light unto my path." As we look towards the light, let's not neglect our feet, lest we get stumbled.

So... as we pursue our dreams.. let's not forget our keep ourselves in check too!

The jam session was good.
Very good actually heh...

After the session, I had a thought. I realised that we must continue to play together and not lose the zeal. Cos we in for something great...

Birthdays after birthdays.. they never seem to end eh? hehheeh.. but it's good, coz they're reminders that these wonderful people were added to the earth's population and have impacted my life in a great way..

Today's my gal's mom's birthday, the 19th is my dear's birthday, 13th is my dad's birthday.. these people are people i love and have contributed to my being and development over the year/s.

i was going thru some of my old stuffs, and i'm pretty surprised at how God has made woman to be. They are very detailed beings. They notice the little things in life, things that we guys often brush aside as irrelevant or not practical. Upon reflection, only then did i realise to what extend or impact they signify..

So to all guys out there, please take some time out. Observe the gals ard you. You'll never know what those mini favours, little notes, passing remarks meant; unless you stop to appreciate. Who knows, a bigger plot unfolds...

DESIRE, discipline, delight (Stage 1)

Dear BoonBaggies!

It brings me great joy to be able to write in this blog of ours, BoonBag! Yeah~ Finally we've got our very our blog, BoonBag style~!

For a start, maybe we can write on something that would seem most apt for, esp the start of something new like this blog, what we DESIRE to see for ourselves, as individuals and as a whole. This topic will be like a goal setting card, like those in church, for us to set goals for ourselves and the band. Believe this will bring about a greater understanding of ourselves and what we wanna achieve. Also this acts as a Vision for our band, for it's biblical for all man to have a vision, else he perishes, just like a band without a vision.

so take some time off and share with us your point of view and see how we can mould BoonBag together~!
